• Place a melter and drop the wax pieces into it.

The procedure to make molded candles is little bit different. The wick is to be cut two inches taller than the candle’s height and insert a thread through the hole at the bottom of the mold. Apply putty on the outside of the hole. Attach a pencil to the top of the mould and the wick is to be tied with this. Generally, heat the wax up to 130 degrees Fahrenheit if the mold is cardboard, plastic or glass. If it is a metal, then heat it up to 190 degrees. A thermometer is used to measure the accurate temperature here. On reaching the temperature point, the melter is lifted and now pour the wax in to it. It is
then left for 12 hours to cool and then refrigerate it for another 12 hours. Now the candle is made ready.

The candle molds come in various shapes and sizes. There are standard moulds out of which square, circular and other forms can be obtained. Usually they are found in the general stationary shops and can be obtained through online purchase. People have got a general shapes and sizes related to each occasion. Rubber candle molds offer better flexibility and help in giving intricate designs. They require greater attention while the process of cooling takes place. There are higher chances for the material to get distorted during the cooling process. Plastic mold is the cheapest material available and gives a rigid property. Due to this nature, intricate designs are not possible with this kind of candle molds. However, they can be used by recycling property without wasting the materials. A beginner can employ this kind of materials as they are easy to handle.

Rigid molds are obtained from glass, metal or plastic and are useful in generating any kind of shapes. Irregular shapes can be easily made from them.
